The African Nations Cup, scheduled to take place in Cameroon in January, has been postponed to 2022.

The coronavirus pandemic has suspended football across most of the continent since March, leaving little time to complete the qualifying competition.

The Nations Cup was scheduled to take place from January 9th to February 6th next year, but is now scheduled for January 2022.

The date of the final tournament and the remaining qualifying games will be announced in due course, the African Football Association said in a statement after a meeting of the Executive Committee.

This is the second change in the date for the tournament. It was originally scheduled to take place in Cameroon in June and July of next year during the rainy season, but has been brought forward by five months to ensure reliable weather conditions.

The decision means that clubs in Europe will no longer have to leave their African players for international service in the middle of next season.

In a separate decision, CAF has canceled the African Nations Cup for Women in 2020 due to “challenging conditions” and will instead start a Women’s Champions League in 2021.

Cameroon will host the semi-finals and finals of this year’s African Champions League, which will be held in a single location in Douala, the CAF Executive Committee decided.
