Barcelona are reported to be ready to fire Quique Setien at the end of the season – while Nou Camp legend Xavi is waiting to be launched.
The Catalan giants lost points in the title race when they were held 2-2 by relegation-threatened Celta Vigo on Saturday. Real Madrid overtook them at the top of the league.
Some players were reportedly involved in an angry breakdown with Setien because of his tactics, including the decision to replace Luis Suarez with Antoine Griezmann, with the Uruguayan sitting on a hat-trick.
And according to Goal, the Barca hierarchy plans to delete Setien at the end of the campaign if the situation doesn’t improve.

Setien replaced Ernesto Valverde in January, but is expected to start his two-and-a-half year contract only a few months.
Still, Barca could still end the season by winning both the La Liga and the Champions League if Setien can monitor an increase in performance.
Xavi, who is currently responsible for Al-Sadd in Qatar, has admitted that he is already preparing to become Barca boss.
“The greatest hope I have now is to become a Barca coach and get Barca back on the winning road,” he told Spanish outlet sport.
“Not me, but these players and Barca triumph. And as a result, our technical staff, who are very preparing and very upset.

“I am a club man. I would like to come back at the right moment to start a project from scratch. I have said it many times, but I want to make football decisions in Barcelona.”
“It is clear that the stage will of course be prepared after the elections. I do not rule out anything. They came for me in January, we spoke. I told them that the circumstances and the timing were not correct.”
