19-year-old Haaland challenges Bayern

Dortmund top scorer Erling Haaland, 19, challenged Bayern Munich, reaffirming Borussia’s desire to end overwhelming Bavarian domination of the Bundesliga next season.

On Saturday, Bayern will be officially crowned champion for the 8th consecutive time, and Dortmund will once again be its runner-up.

I want to win something with BVB, not always be second, but also win titles“says Haaland in an interview with regional German newspapers,”we have to set goals and we want to attack“.

Dortmund are the last team to win the title before Bayern, in 2011 and 2012, both under the baton of Jürgen Klopp.

Arriving at the winter transfer window of RB Salzburg for 20 million euros, the Norwegian scored 16 goals in his first 17 Bundesliga matches. In total, he has scored 44 goals in 39 games this season with his two clubs, including eight in the Champions League.

Under contract with Borussia until 2024, the young man sees himself staying in the Ruhr. “I don’t think too much about the future“he says,”Dortmund is one of the biggest clubs in the world, I signed a long term contract and I have just arrived. This is why it does not occur to me at all to leave this club already“.
