AC Milan loses points in Genoa, Ronald’s failure prevents Juventus from approaching leaders

The Milaners played in a draw 2: 2 (0: 0) with the “Genoa” team.

The goal was not scored in the first half, but in the second minute of the second part of the game Mateo Destro was the first to block the ball from the opposing goalkeeper and reached 1: 0 for the home team. Five minutes later, Dāvide Kalabrija equalized with a long shot from the ground, but in the 60th minute Destro hit the head after the center of the penalty area and regained the lead of the “Genoa” team.

AC Milan was saved by Pierre Kalulu Kyatengwa, who scored 2: 2 five minutes before the end of regular time after the corner kick.

Meanwhile, the second Milan team “Inter” beat “Napoli” 1: 0 (0: 0) in their field.

The hosts scored the first goal in the 71st minute, when Romel Lukak scored an 11-meter penalty kick. At the same time, the Neapolitans remained in the minority, as Lorenso Insinje, who had previously had the opportunity to put the guests in the lead, received a red card for unsportsmanlike conduct.

The central game of the day took place in Turin, where the local Juventus played a draw 1: 1 (1: 0) with Bergamo’s Atalanta.

The Turin were led by Federico Chies in the 29th minute, but in the 57th minute Remo Freiler reached 1: 1. Four minutes later, Juventus superstar Christian Ronaldo had a chance to regain control of the team, but the penalty kick from Portugal was neutralized by the goalkeeper Pjerludži Giolini.

In Series A, with 28 points in 12 games, AC Milan, 27 points are scored by Inter footballers, 24 points are awarded to the Juventus team and 23 points are scored by Napoli and Sassuolo.

With Robert Firmin at the end of the match, Liverpool on Wednesday celebrated their victory in the 13th round of the English Premier League and became the tournament leader.

Liverpool beat their direct rival Hotspur at home 2: 1 (1: 1), losing first place in the table.

The Liverpool team dominated in the first half and had several chances to score. Mohamed Salah was in the lead in the 26th minute, but seven minutes later Honmins Sons reached 1: 1.

Liverpool’s victory came in the last minute of regular time, when Firmin was sent off by Andrew Roberston after a corner kick. The match could have ended 2: 1 in favor of “Hotspur”, because before that Steven Bergvienn fixed the goal structure and Herry Keyn hit the crossbar with his head.

Liverpool have not lost 66 games in a row at home.

“I think we totally deserve a victory because we played a good game against the top team,” Liverpool co-driver Jürgen Clops said after the match. “Yeah, they had a goal and a couple more good chances, but we controlled the game and really deserved three points.”

Hotspur head coach José Mourinju had the opposite opinion.

“We were close to winning, but we didn’t take our chances. A poor result would be a draw in terms of performance, so you can imagine what it feels like to lose. A very unfair result,” Mourinju concluded.

Prior to that, the Hotspur team was not overthrown by Leicester City, which at home with 0: 2 (0: 1) acknowledged Liverpool’s Everton superiority. Richard Charlison and Mason Holgeit scored for Everton.

London’s Arsenal, who played a 1: 1 (0: 1) draw with Southampton on their field, was also disappointed. The guests were nominated by Teo Velkots in the 18th minute, but Pierre Emerik Obamejangs reached the draw in the 52nd minute. The Londoners played in the minority for the last half hour of the match, but that didn’t stop them from scoring a point.

Liverpool topped the Premier League standings with 28 points, followed by Hotspur with 25 points, Southampton and City of Leicester with 24 points, and Everton with 23 points.
