Roberto Firmino’s 90th-minute winner put Liverpool at the top of the Premier League as a 2-1 win at Anfield on Wednesday ended Tottenham’s 11th undefeated league run.
Spurs appeared poised to stay at the top and bolster their case further to be considered a contender for a top division title in 60 years when Son Heung-min counterattacked Mohamed Salah’s deflected opener for the hosts .
Tottenham even had the chance to end Liverpool’s 66-game unbeaten home game in the Premier League in the second half when Steven Bergwijn hit the post and Harry Kane had an unusually great chance.
Jose Mourinho’s men, however, were undone in death when Firmino climbed the highest to bring Andy Robertson’s corner home before running the full length of the field to celebrate at the end of Kop in front of 2,000 fans.

LEEDS UNITED 5-2 NEWCASTLE UNITED
Leeds United scored three goals – including a screamer from Jack Harrison – in a chaotic 15-minute final to beat Newcastle United on Elland Road.
Losing the last two games and winning only once in the last six games, Leeds would have feared the worst when Jeff Hendrick gave Newcastle the lead.
Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo turned the tide to give Leeds the lead, but Newcastle scored again against Ciaran Clark, who went home from a corner.

But then Leeds came to life with Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Harrison scoring a goal in just 10 minutes to round off an all-out win in the end.
It was the first time since 2001 that Leeds have scored five goals in a home game to be level on points with Newcastle.
ARSENAL 1-1 SOUTHAMPTON
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang eventually ended his drought in six games when Arsenal put in three straight Premier League losses to end up in a 1-1 draw with Southampton.
It looked like the Gunners’ grumpy form wasn’t going to get any better when former striker Theo Walcott opened the gate on the 18th minute to give Southampton the lead.
However, the second half started with Aubameyang, who ended his 648-minute run with no aim of bringing the hosts up to par.

Gabriel Magalhaes was shown a second yellow card shortly thereafter – Arsenal’s second in two games – and Mikel Arteta’s side had to hold on when Nathan Redmond rattled the crossbar.

Everton sparked their challenge for a spot in the Champions League last week when they recorded a beautiful win against Chelsea on Saturday with another win at King Power in fifth place.
Richarlison opened the scoring thanks to a mistake by Kasper Schmeichel when the Leicester captain supported the Brazilian effort from outside the box but was unable to prevent it.
Leicester’s best chance to react came within a minute of conceding Jamie Vardy headed straight for Robin Olsen, who had a rare start ahead of number one Jordan Pickford in England.

Everton suffered serious injury before the break as Brazilian international Allan had to be replaced with a thigh injury.
But Carlo Ancelotti’s men continued to pose the greater threat, securing the points as Mason Holgate hammered the rebound home from close range after Schmeichel nearly made up for it with a brilliant stop from Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
