NSW skipper Boyd Cordner left the field in the 19th minute of Sate of Origin Game I on Wednesday night after a head blow.
The 28-year-old’s head collided with a QLD player’s hip and he was immediately taken off the field for an HIA. Fortunately, he passed and returned to the field 10 minutes from time in the first half.

Cordner has a bad history of concussions. He missed six weeks earlier in the year after a nasty blow in the Roosters’ Round 8 loss to the Storm.

The carnage for the blues continued through the first half.
Cameron Murray was assisted by the field in the 22nd minute after twisting his leg in a tackle. At halftime it was revealed that he sustained a hamstring injury and would not be returning.
“Yuck,” said Andrew Johns in the comment. “He can hardly walk.”
Christian Welch was taken off the field late in the game for an HIA. The QLD prop needed assistance after looking a little dazed from a device.
