Running for three days, the cross-border event unites participants from four countries—Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein—to train in handball, volleyball, swimming, and climbing while fostering international cooperation and Olympic values.

Young competitors traveled from Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Vorarlberg, Eastern Switzerland, and the Principality of Liechtenstein to participate in the multi-day training camp. According to the IBK, the primary objective is to connect athletes and coaches from all four participating nations, emphasizing fair play, shared learning, and international friendship alongside athletic excellence.
Multi-Sport Training Sessions and Specialized Coaching
In Bregenz, approximately 60 young handball players from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein gathered to drill tactical formations and technical skills under expert guidance, as reported by SWR. Similar specialized sessions run concurrently for swimming, volleyball, and climbing across venues in Bregenz and Dornbirn.
The program extends beyond sport-specific drills. Organizers incorporated joint athletic conditioning units, interactive challenges, and workshops structured to encourage interaction between athletes from different national federations. The curriculum emphasizes team-building and shared athletic values over purely local competition.
Elite Mentorship and Future Outlook
Saturday’s agenda featured special guest appearances, including a lecture by two-time judo world champion Anna-Maria Wagner from Ravensburg, who spoke to the assembled teenagers about elite competition and dedication. Following the success of the opening edition, the IBK confirmed that a future iteration of the Talent Days Bodensee is already planned to take place in Vorarlberg in two years.
