Anna Gasser: Olympics & Inspiring Young Artists

So Livigno, at the end of this wonderful Olympic career, makes things a lot easier for Anna Gasser. In Beijing, at the Corona Games four years ago, she had “filled her entire suitcase” with food from home: spaghetti, chocolate, muesli, all of which Gasser took with her to China, into the unknown, in a bit of a panic. It was an Olympic trip to an isolated, frightened Corona world, without any particularly lively exchanges. And the pictures of the Big Air Center in Shougang are still remembered. The big air competition took place on the former site of a steel power plant. The backdrop for the best snowboard artists appeared brutalist and the area did not look like winter sports. For Anna Gasser, it was still the place of her greatest triumph.
