CTA Ponferrada: 9 Medals at Archery Championship

He Ponferrada Archery Club (CTA Ponferrada) achieved an outstanding balance of nine medals in it Provincial archery championshipcelebrated the past Saturday, January 31 in Leónin which the Bercian group was represented by 13 male and female archers.

The competition took place in a first qualifying phase, from which the athletes who entered the final qualifying rounds emerged, where the provincial champions in the different modalities and categories were decided. Among the participants of the CTA Ponferrada there was a large presence of young and debut archerswho had a particularly outstanding performance.

In the mode of cadet compound bowthe club achieved a gold, a silver and a bronze, with Be Negro Panizo, Roberto Galiz Rey y Lucía González Monteserínrespectively. In cadet recurve bow, Izan Rodríguez Otero was proclaimed provincial champion, while Marcos González Vidal won the silver medal.

The club’s record was completed with the gold of Oscar Barrios Ramon in bare bowthe first place of Erik Merayo Ovalle in children’s compound bowand the silver and bronze medals achieved by Esteban González Vidaña y José Luis Bahamonde Blanco in the category compound bow senior.
