“After the news of the abuse suffered by Mrs. DA (for having obtained a six-month reservation compared to the ten days requested by the attending doctor) the ASP takes action.” Once again the Article 32 Civic Committee returns to office. This time it does so after the response, which the ASP sent to the newspapers, regarding what the Committee had reported here.
This is how CCA32 responds to the ASP of Ragusa:
The request for colonoscopy and biopsy was responded to with a six-month booking, classifying the service as an ordinary check-up. But that’s not true.
After 5 and a half years since the last colonoscopy (performed on 25 June 2020) it is unfounded and arbitrary to consider the new test a simple check-up. In the case in question, a total colonoscopy with single-site biopsy was requested for each individual segment.
Only after our complaint did a reply arrive denoting a clear admission of guilt.
In fact, despite mistakenly stating that the case concerned a check-up, and hiding the reference to the biopsy, he indirectly recognized the abuse and quickly rescheduled the service.
In short, once again the management of waiting lists is approximate and incomplete in the evaluation of the diagnostic questions formulated by doctors.
We suggest that healthcare company leaders dedicate less time to catwalks and group photos, to adopt effective organizational strategies and greater controls on relations procedures with citizen-users.
