Next weekend, from February 6 to 8, the city of Caen will host the French Senior Badminton Championships, bringing together the elite of French badminton among them, Christo and Tomi Popov (ranked 7 and 12 in the world) or Alex Lanier (ranked 9 in the world) among others. For the first time, a player currently licensed at the Badminton Club of Quimperlé, Gaspard Delabrosse, will participate in this high-level competition. A true emblematic figure of the Quimperlois club, he qualified in men’s doubles alongside his partner Martin Bellot, coming from Saint-Jacques in Ille et Vilaine. This success marks a significant step forward for the club, which finally sees its young talents stay and shine at the highest level, unlike previous decades when many left the club for other horizons.

For three years, Gaspard has also been captain of the BCK 1 team and hopes to progress to national 2 next season. He will celebrate his 20th birthday next month, known for his spectacular play and his spirit of surpassing himself. A real asset for the club, he represents the spirit of this training club and a source of pride for the city of Quimperlé.
His ability to fight at every turn and never give up makes all the difference on the field. The entire Badminton Club of Quimperlé is delighted with this participation and looks forward to following Gaspard in this major challenge. Regardless of the result, this qualification is already a huge victory for the club and for the Quimper team.
