The marketing company Badminton Deutschland GmbH (VBD) is an innovative sports marketing company based in Mülheim an der Ruhr and bundles the commercial activities of the German Badminton Association.

To support the team, the VBD is looking for a responsible and committed personality as a (junior) event officer (m/f/d) part-time (20-30 hours per week) on a permanent basis as soon as possible.

Your tasks

  • Support in the day-to-day business of the office (general administration, organization of meetings, travel and logistics coordination)
  • Creation and maintenance of overviews, checklists, reports and evaluations to ensure the quality of events
  • Support in the planning, organization and implementation of badminton events – from preparation to implementation on site and follow-up
  • Administrative control and documentation of event processes (e.g. participant management, accreditations, timetables and schedules, contract and data maintenance)
  • Coordination and coordination with internal and external partners (club/association, service providers, sponsors, hall operators)

Your profile

  • Very good, business-fluent knowledge of spoken and written German as well as secure, addressee-appropriate communication (German as a native language or at least C1 level)
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English (at least B2 level)
  • Sound knowledge of badminton sports (e.g. active or former club player, association experience or event experience in badminton)
  • Strong administrative strength, structured and careful way of working and high attention to detail
  • High sense of responsibility, reliability and team orientation, combined with the willingness to take part in events on individual weekends or in the evenings
  • Confident use of common office programs and digital tools for organization and communication
  • Willingness to learn new skills and use new programs as needed (e.g. in the areas of graphic design, accounting, tournament software, etc.)
