Raptors Beat Lakers: Anthony Davis Injury Update

Despite Anthony Davis’ hand injury, teams continue to probe the field in order to acquire him and among the group, we find the Toronto Raptors.

NBA informant Marc Stein reported Wednesday that the Canadian team was still among the teams interested in obtaining the services of the Dallas Mavericks player.

The 32-year-old athlete has only participated in 29 of the Mavericks’ 73 games since the Texas team acquired him last February. He has 20 games under his belt this season.

The injury suggests that Davis could be back either at the end of the season or for the playoffs.

According to Stein, a Raptors trade offer should include RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley or Jakob Poeltl.

Davis is still under contract for one final season in 2026-2027 and he will receive a salary of $58.5 million. There is an option in the contract for the 2027-2028 campaign for an amount of $62.8 million.

Davis is averaging 20.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game this season.

The NBA trade deadline is scheduled for February 5.
