Baicheng Football League Finals: Xinjiang Unity & New Beginnings

On January 10, the finals of Hanggui Town’s “Baicheng Football Super League” in a series of activities to build awareness of the Chinese nation’s community in Luopu County kicked off at the county’s People’s Square Football Stadium. This event brought together 20 teams. In order to ensure the fairness and impartiality of the competition, the organizing committee specially invited the “Silver Whistle” of the Chinese Super League Maimatjiang Ahemati to personally referee the finals. The professional refereeing level provided a strong guarantee for the smooth progress of the competition.

At the opening ceremony, the entrance ceremony was solemn and warm. Seven phalanxes, including the national flag phalanx, team flag phalanx, and industrial revitalization phalanx, marched in orderly steps. During the competition, Luopu County Party Committee Secretary Yu Xinyi, County Party Committee Deputy Secretary and County Magistrate Ibrahim Alfu and former international football player Li Weifeng watched the game on site and cheered for the athletes.

On the field, the members of the two teams fully carried forward the sports spirit of “faster, higher, stronger, and more united”, cooperated tacitly, and fought bravely. After fierce competition, the Yuhe Ancient Road Football Team finally defeated the Light of Friendship Football Team 2:1 and won the league championship.

After the competition, the award ceremony was held as scheduled. On-site guests awarded trophies, medals and certificates of honor to the champion, second and third place teams respectively. In addition, the event also set up a number of special awards. More than ten awards including the Best Referee Award, Golden Boot Award, Golden Glove Award, etc. were all announced, which fully recognized the outstanding individuals and groups in the event and inherited and promoted the sports spirit.

The holding of the “Baicheng Football Super League” finals not only built a communication and competition platform for football enthusiasts across the county, but also used sports as a medium to enhance the exchanges and integration of people of all ethnic groups and integrate the awareness of the Chinese nation’s community into the entire process of cultural and sports activities.
