Andi Hoti wants to go to Dynamo Dresden again and Dynamo Dresden wants Hoti – but the planned transfer of the central defender is still a problem, which is due to one party: 1. FC Magdeburg. As “Bild” reports, sports director Otmar Schork takes a stand and rejected the written offer from Dresden. What caused great surprise and incomprehension because the 68-year-old Hoti had publicly given his approval a few days ago.

Confronted with this development by the newspaper, Schork said: “I will certainly not react to speculation. These are things that are discreet and with me they remain discreet.” The 22-year-old Hoti is no longer scheduled for Magdeburg; he was recently missing from the training camp in Turkey. “He is dissatisfied with his situation. We had a lot of discussions and in the end he wanted to change. It was therefore clear to us that we would only take players with us who put their heart and soul into the matter. He is free to look for something else,” Schork explained.
Nevertheless, the manager blocked the deal – possibly in order not to strengthen a direct second division competitor. Dresden is bottom of the table after 17 match days, Magdeburg is four points ahead in 15th place. It is said that Schork’s stubbornness is now feared in the industry. 1. FC Magdeburg could save the salary of the dissatisfied defender Hoti and collect a small transfer fee. The attempt to keep Hoti in Dresden after promotion to the second division had already failed in the summer because Magdeburg did not let the Kosovar go.

Hoti, whose contract reportedly ends in the summer, was on loan to the promoted team Dynamos last season. However, under the new coach Petrik Sander, the defender plays no role at his parent club and has not played with the professionals since September. Enough conditions for a winter transfer, which 1. FC Magdeburg, in the person of sports director Schork, is currently rejecting.
