Fabinho Soldado: Internacional Appoint New Football Executive

Internacional have appointed Fabinho Soldado, formerly of Corinthians and Flamengo, as their new football executive. The club said in a statement that the hire strengthens the football department for next season. His contract runs until 31 December 2026.

Fabinho was a free agent after leaving Corinthians. He had been contracted there until the end of 2026, but chose to end his spell following the Copa do Brasil triumph, despite support from coach Dorival Júnior and president Osmar Stabile.

Before sealing the move, he worked as a director at Corinthians, with his exit agreed after talks with the club hierarchy.

At Flamengo, he was appointed scouting manager in 2017, a role he held for four years. In 2021 he became football manager, serving until the end of 2024.

Meanwhile at Flamengo, the board are monitoring the market. Defender Vitão has completed medicals as the first reinforcement for 2026, while Kaio Jorge, Gabriel Brazão and Pedro Morisco are seen as targets in this window.
