In the joyful atmosphere of the New Year, FIFA created a special moment by paying attention to Vietnamese football after the successful year 2025 in many ways.
FIFA’s contribution reflects the special attention the world’s most powerful football authority is paying to Vietnamese football.
Specifically, the FIFA World Cup website (administered by FIFA) wrote: “Looking back to 2025: As a Vietnamese.” Along with this proud tribute to Vietnamese football, FIFA has released representative photos of Vietnam’s national teams in 2025.

FIFA highly appreciates the vision and development dynamics of Vietnamese football.
VHO – On the morning of December 26, the annual congress of the VFF was held at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) with the participation of domestic football representatives and representatives of international organizations.
The post immediately met with a huge response, receiving tens of thousands of likes and comments.
Being recognized by the world’s most powerful football governing body is not only an honor, but also proves the status and steady progress of Vietnamese football on the regional and continental map.
The series of impressive moments of Vietnamese football in 2025 begins with winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup championship and at the same time Xuan Son’s impressive debut in Southeast Asia.
Following this championship, Vietnam football continued to achieve success in 2025, with the U23 team winning the Southeast Asian U23 Championship and qualifying for the 2026 Asian U23 Championship; the women’s national team qualified for the 2026 Asian Women’s Cup; and the men’s futsal team qualified for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship.

The Vietnamese women’s futsal team won the SEA Games championship for the first time.
At the 33rd SEA Games, Vietnam’s under-22 team won the gold medal, while the women’s futsal team won the highest medal in history for the first time.
Also in 2025, Vietnam football will have three more youth teams – the women’s under-17 team, the women’s under-20 team and the men’s under-17 team – who have qualified for the Asian tournaments and will all compete in the finals of continental competitions this year.
What Vietnamese football achieves in 2025 will be a solid foundation for bigger goals in 2026. It will be a year of new challenges, from continental competitions to important regional tournaments.
With the foundations already built and an unwavering desire to improve, Vietnamese football has every reason to believe in a promising journey to 2026, where new milestones await.
