VIDEO. Wout van Aert to hospital after painful fall in Mol: “He has a lot of pain in his ankle”
What was supposed to be a memorable duel between the eternal rivals ended in a minor key. A strong Wout van Aert was out in Mol together with Mathieu van der Poel. Van Aert crashed into the ground in a corner, tried but had to limp out of the race. “His ankle is the most painful,” explains sports director Jan Boven.
