Wahi to Nice: Loan Deal Confirmed

Eintracht Frankfurt has officially confirmed the departure of Elye Wahi. The striker is joining French first division club OGC Nice on loan without a purchase option until the end of the 2025/26 season. According to information from BILD A loan fee of around 1.5 million euros is said to have been agreed.

Wahi moved from RC Lens to Eintracht in January 2025. The Frenchman previously played for Montpellier HSC and Olympique de Marseille, among others. In Frankfurt, the 22-year-old played 25 competitive games across all competitions, in which he contributed one goal and three assists. In the current season he played in 14 games.

Sports director Markus Krösche explains: “In the French league, Elye Wahi has already shown what he is capable of achieving. We wish him all the best in Nice for the coming months and, above all, that he regains his self-confidence and self-image. We will follow his path closely and are convinced that a loan to an ambitious club makes the most sense for everyone in the current situation.”

This gives Wahi the chance for regular match practice in Ligue 1 while Eintracht continues to realign their squad up front.
