Former Japanese table tennis player Fukuhara Ai In March 2021, her affair was discovered when she was photographed dating a married Japanese man in Yokohama. In July of the same year, she announced her divorce from her ex-husband, Taiwanese table tennis star Zhang Hongjie. The two engaged in an international lawsuit over custody of their children, and finally reached an agreement in March of last year. In a recent interview with ‘Woman 7’, Ai Fukuhara revealed that she married a Yokohama man this summer and is pregnant.
Ai Fukuhara emphasized that the two officially began dating in late 2021 after their divorce was finalized. It is said that at first, they did not have marriage in mind and wanted to maintain a relationship of mutual trust and support. However, as my family encouraged me to focus on my family, I began to consider remarriage, and eventually registered my marriage this summer. Currently she is pregnant.
Ai Fukuhara, who was filled with excitement and anticipation for her third pregnancy, said in an interview, “This is my first time giving birth in Japan. The hospital system is completely different from Taiwan, so I still have a lot to adjust to.” She added that despite her previous childbirth experience, she felt the joy of welcoming a new family member along with the fear of new life.
