The tone has risen in a few weeks since the trip to Rodez on September 29, when certain Pau ultras were guilty of damage in the toilets of the local stadium. “We firmly condemn this type of behavior which does not correspond to our values nor to the image we wish to give of our group,” Stup wrote a few hours later.
The uncompromising club
That evening, a supporter was also filmed breaking a smoke bomb, which is prohibited by law. As it did last year, Pau FC filed a complaint against the young man in order to ensure the goodwill of the Professional Football League and avoid a heavy fine.
This framework of “heavy legal constraints” makes it “impossible for the normal continuation of the group’s activities”, writes Stup, today in its press release, where mention is also made of “the ban on any form of expression in the stands, including in the form of banners. » The club has been intransigent on this point because it no longer wishes to see hostile banners, in particular against the TV broadcaster Bein Sports, as at the start of last season.
