Stanislav Cherchesov recalled a curious episode from his time working with the Kazakhstan national team. The current coach of Akhmat admitted that he constantly confused defender Marat Bystrov with his namesake Vladimir Bystrov: “I always called Marat Bystrov from the Kazakhstan national team Volodka. After training, I ask myself, Salamych, you made a mistake once, a second time, but for the fortieth time it’s already inconvenient for you.”
