América de Cali: Graterol & Navarro Departures Confirmed

América de Cali already has its sights set on 2026. A week after ending its participation in the BetPlay League, the team led by David González – who will now be able to lead the team as a property – began to make moves on its payroll.

Although the Valle del Cauca team have not announced signings for the next semester, in which they will also play the preliminary phase of the Copa Conmebol Sudamericana, they have confirmed some casualties. They previously reported the departure of Peruvian striker Luis Ramos and this Monday they made official the departure of Venezuelan goalkeeper Joel Graterol and midfielder Sebastián Navarro.

Joel Graterol says goodbye to América after 126 games and a title in which he was the protagonist. Thank you for every save and for your commitment defending these colors. “Successes, champion!“, América de Cali reported in its official media.

Midfielder Sebastián Navarro finished his time with our institution. We appreciate your dedication and wish you success in your next professional challenges,” the report added.

In 2025, Joel Graterol only saved 11 games, after being out the entire first semester due to a tendon rupture that he suffered since 2024. The Venezuelan goalkeeper conceded 8 goals and took his goal out five times.

For its part, Sebastián Navarro played 3,070 minutes in 52 matches between the BetPlay League, the Colombia Cup and the South American Cup. The 25-year-old scored two goals and made two assists. Now he must return to Fortaleza FC, owner of his sports rights.
