There were many of them – members of the Compagnie des archers du Bassin, relatives and friends, elected officials – who came to congratulate Aurélie Autret on her new exceptional season, enriching an impressive track record that is the dream of many athletes. A highlight for the club which is proudly celebrating its 16th anniversary.
During the 2024 – 2025 season, Aurélie became regional champion in field shooting, ranked 4th in the French field shooting championship, 9th in the French Olympic shooting championship, 9th at the World Games in China, individual European vice-champion in Poland, European women’s team vice-champion and bronze medalist in mixed doubles, still in Poland.
Jean-Louis Denoit, mayor of Viviez, accompanied by elected officials Martine Puech and Bernard Manhaval, congratulated Aurélie “for her magnificent medals which follow one another from year to year, and all the volunteers who are active around the club. While wanting to be reassuring about the Jacques Rey space: “You will be able to use the covered area again. But the meanderings of experts, insurance, quotes and links with companies mean that its unavailability should last for the first half of 2026.
Three conditions for success
Following, the departmental councilor Christian Tieulié in turn praised Aurélie: “its regularity and its performances are based on three conditions: recognized sporting skills, with sacrifices and self-sacrifice; a well-structured club; a family behind which supports and accompanies”.
Finally, regional councilor Pascal Mazet, in addition to the renewed compliments to Aurélie “establishing herself as an ambassador for the sport of the Basin and Aveyron”, added that the Compagnie des archers offers archery for people with disabilities and that we must salute this great initiative.
