The Badminton Club de Ganges continues its development and begins a season full of momentum.
Created in 1997 by enthusiasts, affiliated with the French Federation (FFBAD) since 2011, it now has nearly fifty licensees, divided into young, leisure and competitors categories.
“It is above all a friendly club, with a family spirit. We come as much to progress as to share good times”, Recalls Fabrice Theodorides, club president.
Training takes place at the municipal gymnasium on the road to Sumène, Monday at 9 p.m. on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. for adults, Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for young people.
Children release the pressure during school holidays, but the club remains active by participating in entertainment such as “sport in all its states” or internships “sports holidays” organized by the community of communes.
The striking event of this start to the season will be the night tournament of Saturday September 20from 4 p.m. to midnight. About fifty players are expected for this double tournament, on a single table, with participants sometimes from Montpellier.
The club is delighted with its rise in D2, but remains humble.
“We really reflect the spirit of badminton: conviviality and fair play, underlines the president. True to this mentality, the club continues to welcome all audiences.”
