ZIGExN UPDATERS.EXE (hereafter referred to as Jigen Updaters) (https://zigexn.co.jp/updaters/), a professional 3×3 basketball team based in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, owned by Jigen Inc. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hirao Takeshi; Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime: 3679; hereinafter referred to as Jigen), is pleased to announce that it has signed a partnership agreement with Viva Inc. (head office: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; CEO: Hirao Takeshi; Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime: 3679; hereinafter referred to as Jigen), which aims to promote health and create opportunities for children to experience exercise, as the third part of the EN Project, a project aimed at sustainable regional development and creating opportunities for challenges, mainly in Kyoto City, where it is based, and is involved in sports club business.
As part of its sustainability activities, Jigen Updaters was established in April 2022, based in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, and is participating in the FIBA-approved and JBA-approved global professional league of 3×3 EXE.PREMIER, the world’s first three-person basketball league. With the slogan “UPDATE the YOUTH – Supporting the challenges of young people,” we are working to revitalize local communities and co-create value with young people through team activities. In order to further expand this circle of initiatives, starting from the 2025 season, we will continue to promote initiatives in Kyoto with the local, government and businesses, with a new name as the “EN Project.”
■Third project: Partnership signed with Viva Co., Ltd.
As the third part of this project, we have concluded a partnership with Viva Co., Ltd.
Viva Co., Ltd. is a company that has been in business for over 50 years, operating sports club business and other businesses headquartered in Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. Since the team was founded, they have continued to engage in sports-based initiatives, such as sponsoring events hosted by Jigen Updaters and participating in guest events hosted by Viva, but have officially signed a partnership since the 2025 season. We will further promote sports projects aimed at promoting health for people living in Kyoto City.
This project will combine Jigen Updaters’ basketball knowledge and skills with the know-how of operating facilities and schools managed by Viva Co., Ltd., to plan light exercise classes and related events in local gymnasiums.
Starting in July 2025, we will be launching the light exercise class “Junior Basketball Class Produced by Jigen Updaters” produced by Jigen Updaters at Yamashina Regional Gymnasium and Daigo Regional Gymnasium. Based on the training menu produced by Jigen Updaters, this classroom aims to help children not only teach light exercises and basics of basketball, but also incorporate stamp rally where Updaters can receive official character goods, making it a classroom that will help children to enjoy their physical activity.
Additionally, the annual Junior Basketball Exchange Event for School Students, hosted by Viva, will also be attending Updaters’ contract players, and will be coaching professional basketball players and holding exhibition matches.
