The loan agreement for our professional footballer Dazet Wilfried Armel Zaha with Olympique Lyonnais SASU has been mutually terminated. A new arrangement has been established with Major League Soccer, LLC, facilitating the player’s temporary move to Charlotte FC, effective until January 17, 2026.
Key terms of the agreement include:
* Charlotte FC will remit a temporary transfer fee of $2,800,000 to Galatasaray.
* The player has voluntarily forfeited a net sum of €2,376,000 from his earnings.
* Should the player participate in 15 MLS regular season matches for Charlotte FC or submit written confirmation by December 15, 2025, the loan period will be prolonged until June 30, 2026.
In the event of an extension:
* Charlotte FC will disburse an additional temporary transfer fee of $1,300,000 to galatasaray.
* The player will relinquish a net amount of €800,000 from his salary.
Furthermore, contingent on the player’s performance in the 2025 MLS Regular Season, Charlotte FC will award Galatasaray performance-based bonuses, capped at $1,100,000.
If the loan is extended, Charlotte FC will also provide Galatasaray with a maximum performance bonus of $150,000, persistent by the player’s contributions during the 2026 MLS Regular Season.
