GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A woman whose car was stranded on a Florida interstate road when her tires exploded received unexpected little help from former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal, say the sheriff officials.
O’Neal, who lives in the Orlando area, was traveling on Interstate 75 near Gainesville on Monday when he saw the woman pull by the roadside, the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said on a Facebook post.

He stayed with the woman until the deputies arrived on the scene.
In the video posted on Facebook, MEPs thanked O’Neal for his assistance. The chauffeur is heard telling the deputies that the tire has burst, forcing her to stop and that O’Neal has stopped helping.
“He punched MPs Purington and Dillon before going his way,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “Hey Basketball Cop Foundation, you’re not the only one who knows Shaq.”
