Premier League clubs vote for the summer transfer window from July 27th to October 5th Football news

Premier League clubs are expected to vote for proposals to open their summer transfer window on July 27 and close on October 5.

All 20 Premier League clubs had until 5 p.m. on Monday to vote on a plan to open the window the day after the season ended – and to close ten weeks later.

It is also important that clubs agree to extend the 10-week window by two weeks if the Premier League and EFL clubs can continue to buy, sell, or borrow players from each other.

Top-class clubs cannot make transfers among themselves or with foreign clubs during this two-week extension that ends on October 18.

With the compromise solution, EFL clubs can make sales, purchases and, in particular, loans to Premier League clubs for 14 days.

Premier League clubs can also do most of their business before UEFA closes on October 6 for registration in the Champions League and Europa League.

A number of European leagues have already confirmed that their summer window will be closed on October 5th. The Premier League clubs want to follow this example.

Last Thursday, the Premier League general meeting agreed to postpone the decision until agreement was reached on extending the EFL.
