The German club wishes to finance part of the purchase of Cancelo with the sale of the Frenchman

Neither Barça nor any other team considers such a high payment for a footballer who will have one year left on his contract

Benjamin Pavard will leave Bayern this summer as long as a transfer can be agreed. And it seems that it will be complicated because Bayern wants to make cash with the Frenchman despite the problems that the footballer has with his coach and that in June he will have one year left on his contract. ‘Sport1’ explains that Bayern will value Pavard at around 30 million euros to finance part of the signing of Joao Cancelo, whose purchase option is 70 million euros, although it seems that it would be negotiable.

Bayern already tried to put Pavard on the market this January, but the player refused to listen to offers despite the fact that Inter pushed hard in the last hours of this transfer window. The Italian club was open to selling Skriniar to PSG if they got Pavard, but in the end the deal could not be closed due to the French winger’s refusal to leave at the moment. Pavard wants to wait for the summer and clearly prioritizes his departure to Barça with a favorable transfer agreement.

The German club, which has always been very tough in negotiating, does not want to sell off Pavard and in the coming months will manage his departure with Pini Zahavi as an intermediary. Lewandowski’s agent, very close to Joan Laporta, is clear about his strategy of attrition to lower the price since Bayern have a serious problem with Pavard. He will play very little after the arrival of Cancelo and his problems with the club and with his coach threaten to cloud the atmosphere in the dressing room. As the weeks go by and if Pavard castles wanting to go to Barça, his price will have to drop to reasonable figures.

At Barça they are clear that Pavard is a top-level right-back, but his strong character is worrying, which has caused serious conflicts both in Bayern and in the French team. The club admits that it could be a good market opportunity, but his signing has not yet been decided and it will also depend on how the negotiations for other names on the table progress. What the sports area is clear about is that very little can be invested in this position.
