The World Football Association has deleted two tweets in which superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (37) was made fun of or teased against him.
The Portuguese had traveled to Qatar with the Portuguese team and with high hopes of winning the World Cup – but was then initially sorted out by coach Fernando Santos and then eliminated in the quarter-finals against outsiders Morocco.

Many Ronaldo fans felt it was an affront to the association siding with a player in such a way.
The second tweet, which caused a great deal of outrage in the CR7 supporters’ camp, also came from Fifa’s World Cup account. Along with the words “thumbs up if you really enjoyed the World Cup,” the social media team posted a photo of the beaming Ronaldo with a thumbs up. A bitter mockery, after the Portuguese really has anything but a World Cup to enjoy behind him…
Both tweets have since been deleted.

After the triumph over France at the Lusail Stadium, Messi published a post on Instagram showing him with the World Cup trophy. He wrote a long message about it. The post now has almost 70 million likes. world record. The previous record holder was Ronaldo when he informed his Instagram followers that he and his girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez (28) were expecting twins.
