Gyeongnam is attracting attention as the center of winter field training.

Gyeongnam-do announced on the 18th that the number of winter field training teams that visited Gyeongnam from the 20th of last month to the end of March next year reached 1,379.

Winter battery training this year increased by 44% compared to the same period last year. There are 5122 battery training teams visiting Gyeongnam, and the economic inducement effect is estimated at 47.6 billion won.

Gyeongsangnam-do explained that it led to an increase in the establishment of Corona 19 quarantine measures. The provincial government has prepared safety inspections of public sports facilities in cities and counties so that battery training teams can safely train and practice games.

In order to differentiate itself from other local governments, it is evaluated as the best place for off-season training by implementing systematic support policies such as psychological counseling for off-campus training teams, support for specialized programs to improve performance, and operation of injury prevention programs, etc.

The mild climate in winter and the establishment of the second-largest training facility in the country are also reasons for gaining popularity as a winter training camp.

There are internationally recognized shooting ranges and tennis courts in Changwon, Goseong-gun Weightlifting Stadium equipped with video equipment, Namhae Sports Park, Tongyeong Sanyang Sports Park, and Miryang International Badminton Stadium.
