Indonesia sent six badminton players to BWF World Tour Finals 2022. Gregoria Mariska Tunjung became the last delegate whose participation was confirmed.

As is known, the calculation of road points to the BWF World Tour Final 2022 has ended following the Australian Open which was also completed on 20 November. A number of representatives have confirmed their participation as BWF also officially released the list of players who qualified on 22 November.

Indonesia itself has previously confirmed that five of its representatives will appear in the championship which will compete for a total prize of US$1.5 million.

Namely two representatives from men’s doubles, two representatives from men’s singles, and one mixed doubles. Later, it turned out that Indonesia got another share from the women’s singles sector.

Most recently, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung, who previously had the first reserve status, was finally able to appear in the tournament which is the culmination of BWF tour events so far this year.

She got the ticket after PP PBSI received an invitation letter to participate from BWF for Gregoria after one of the eight participants in the women’s singles withdrew. But BWF has not revealed who the badminton player who withdrew is.

In fact, currently Gregoria is in 13th position in the “Race to BWF World Tour Finals“. But according to regulations, he occupies the first number waiting list.
