“ROUTES IN THE VALLEYS OF WELL LIVING”. BONITO: ARCHERY AND WINE WORKSHOP.
“Paths in the Valli del Ben Vivere” returns on Sunday 7 August in Bonito with archery and the Irpini DOC and DOCG wine tasting laboratory under the Norman Tower.
After the inauguration of the Sculptural Exhibition at the Castle of Grottaminarda “Movimento d’Aquino” which will remain open throughout the month of August, a new appointment as per the billboard in an equally suggestive location.
In Piazza Municipio, next to the Norman Tower which will remain open and can be visited, silhouettes and targets for archery will be set up; the archers of the “14 Reds” Company, in medieval clothes, will demonstrate this ancient activity, now considered a sport, but once a means of procuring food and defending oneself from the enemy. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to try their hand at “instinctive shooting”.
Afterwards, under the gazebos set up for the occasion and in the atrium of the Town Hall always near the Norman Tower, the protagonist will be the wine, with a tasting workshop organized by the sommelier Mafaldina Meninno who will guide the participants through a sensory journey to learn how to appreciate the qualities of the exceptional Irpinia wine, protagonist on international tables and thus enhance a production area strongly suited to viticulture. The following types of wines produced in the province of Avellino will be tasted: Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Falanghina DOC, Aglianico DOC.
Appointment at 9.30 under the Norman Tower for archery demonstrations and at 11.00 for the wine tasting laboratory. Participation in the event is free.
