The Pittsburgh Steelers signed wide receiver Diontae Johnson to a two-year contract extension on Thursday.

According to the ESPN network, the 26-year-old athlete’s new agreement will allow him to get his hands on $ 18.355 million annually, starting in the 2023 campaign. This season, he will play the last year of his rookie agreement.

Johnson showed up for the opening of Steelers training camp earlier this week, but had opted to only participate in certain drills until he had a new contract in his pocket.

Last year, the Toledo Rockets product had his best moments since playing in the NFL. He caught 107 balls for 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games. The third-round pick (66th overall) in the 2019 draft also received a first career invitation to the Pro Bowl game.
