The Badminton club of Chambly in the quarter-finals of the European Cup

The Badminton club of Chambly will play the quarter-finals of the European Club Cup on Friday 1is July, from 10 a.m., in Bialystok, Poland. His opponent is the Spanish club Recreativo Las Orden.

During the group stage which has taken place since Tuesday, June 28, the Camblysiens have clearly won their three matches. They successively beat the Portuguese of Che Lagoense (4-1), the Spaniards of La Rinconada (5-0) and the Poles of Bialystok (5-0). The team is made up by Eetu Heino, Émilie Drouin, Sacha Lévêque, Robert Mateusiak, Léonice Huet, Flavie Vallet, Eloi Adam and Nadiezda Zieba.

Five times vice-champion of Europe, the Badminton club of Chambly hopes to finally reach its Holy Grail (the final will take place on Saturday July 2), despite the absence of key players such as the British Smith and Marcus Ellis, as well as the Canadian Michelle Li.

Created in 1978, the European championship was first dominated by Danish clubs and, recently, by the pet peeve of Camblysians, the Russians of Vladivostok, banned from competitions because of the war in Ukraine.
