Ravenna defeated, Cantù in the final

Nothing to do: Now Yes is forced to abandon the Serie A dream, at least for this season. In tonight’s match against Cantùthe third of the series, the team of coach Lotesoriere starts well, fights but must surrender in the excited final of the PalaCattani of Faenza.

Ravenna-Cantù, the race

The two coaches confirm the quintets: Bucarelli, Allen, Severini, Da Ros and Bayehe for the guests, Tilghman, Denegri, Cinciarini, Sullivan and Simioni for Ravenna. Ravenna is the one to start the match well, taking the part 8-2. Sodini calls the time-out, the Lombards come under but Denegri puts in the triple of the new Giallorossi extension. Then Bryant and Bayehe for Cantù overturn the situation, first quarter at 13-14.

The second quarter is along the lines of the first: the two teams are also equal in score, despite the initial break of Acqua S.Bernardo. The guests come forward in the third period: Allen puts in two consecutive ones and takes the advantage on +5 and Ravenna remains clinging to the match only thanks to the usual Cinciarini. The last quarter of the race sees Cantù start on +5 but OraSì is proud and shortens the distance. Again Cinciarini, Berdini from the line and finally Tilghman’s triple give the hosts the lead but it is still Allen who effectively directs and finalizes his operations.

In the tense final of the game it is the lottery of free throws that decides the match: Cusin makes 1/2, Cinciarini misses both. The score smiles at Cantù, who wins and flies to the final.
