The city of Pachuca hosted the U15 National Basketball Championship

The staves on which this competition was held were those located in the Miguel Alemán, Constancio Córdoba and Instituto Cedrus gyms; where all the duels between the teams of: Chihuahua, Baja California, Nuevo León, Sonora, Sinaloa, Baja California Sur, Tamaulipas, Nayarit, Yucatán, Zacatecas, Quintana Roo, Guerrero, Mexico City, Puebla, Campeche, Michoacán, Tabasco, Tlaxcala, Oaxaca, Jalisco, Hidalgo, State of Mexico, Veracruz and the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS).

After three days of competitions, he was the representative of the Mexico state who became a national champion after defeating the Chihuahua team in the final by a final score of 55-51; while third place went to the state of Sonora, by doing the same against the Sinaloa team where they finished with a score of 71-57; Although for the Hidalgo quintet it was not the best tournament and the best results were not obtained, added Pérez Serrano, there is still the opportunity for some athletes of the burst sport to be summoned to the national preselection and thus make their way to the international jousts that will take place in 2022.

Similarly, the president of Ademeba in Hidalgo noted that the ideal team of the tournament was made up of the basketball players: Ángel Ochoa from Baja California, Octavio Moyoa from Sinaloa, Óscar Montes from the State of Mexico, Juan Carlos Muñoz from Chihuahua and Misael Palafox from Sonora, likewise, the award for best player of the championship went to forward Marcelo Moreno Rangel from the State of Mexico.

Finally, he commented that the Mexican Basketball Federation (FMB) must pre-select sports talents for the next international fair that will take place in 2022 by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), for which some of Hidalgo’s profiles still have the opportunity to access this type of skills, since they have talent and ability to reach these instances, also made known that next year they will convene the national preselection, who will have two previous concentrations in the month of June, where the Mexican team that travels to these international fair will be defined.
