Holder of the record for victories in the competition (20), Bayern, current leader of the championship, remained on a series of twelve victories in thirteen matches, in all competitions. Mönchengladbach’s goals were scored by Kouadio Koné (2), Ramy Bensebaini (15, 21), and Breel Embolo (51, 58th).
