New director for the reception of extracurricular leisure activities in Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines

Nicolas Garcia is the new director of the extracurricular leisure center.

He started his career in animation at the age of 18. First in Guadeloupe, at Club Med, as a sports leader. He participated in the promotion of rugby in the territory. Then he returned to the region and worked in campsites. He also held a position at the schools of Saint-Cyprien and Elne.

On the strength of these experiences, he graduated to become a director.

Today, he works with Caroline, who was the referent, Angèle, Elisa and Stéphane. The Atsem (Specialized territorial agent for nursery schools) and a Youth Point (PJ) animator come to help in the morning and evening.

We receive children attending kindergarten and primary school, he explains. On the meridian times, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., there are 150 of them participating in the activities. For the morning hours from 7:30 am to 9:00 am and in the evening from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm, we welcome approximately 50 children “. His plans for the coming year? “We are going to set up a panel of activities around the theme” round the world in colors “. The idea is to discover the different cultures and folklore of each country, in a fun way. “For example, we will do archery to represent Canada. An animator will introduce the children to the typical dances that will be done on lunch breaks from Tuesday to Friday, Monday is a quiet time like morning and evening, where everyone chooses the activity that suits them according to their mood and desires, board games, reading, drawings … “.
