The Olympian prepared to cheer on her boyfriend when the Houston Texans kicked off the new season in September.
Come on Texans! Olympic gold medalist Simone Bilès, 24 year old posted a pair of cute photos of herself and her boyfriend Jonathan Owens, 26, on her Instagram on Sunday, August 29. The gymnast was hugging Jonathan, as his team prepared for the NFL season which kicks off Sept. 12, when the Houston Texans face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Simone rocked a white t-shirt, skinny jeans and white sneakers as she clung to her boyfriend for photos. Jonathan was wearing a black t-shirt with the phrase “Houston Vs. Everyone” on it. He also wore faded jeans and black sneakers. The first photo showed the couple kissing in front of the Texans logo. In the second photo, the couple were all smiles as the Olympian huddled near safety. “Watching # 36 on game days is my favorite,” she wrote in the caption.
This year will be the second season where Jonathan will be cheered on by Simone. Simone celebrated the fact that she had been dating the NFL player for over a year in an August 27 Instagram post, where the couple wore matching orange outfits. “So happy for 1 year for the best thing that ever happened to you: ME,” she captioned hilariously.
Besides their relationship, this year has been quite eventful for both athletes. Between Jonathan’s season with the Texans and Simone’s at the Tokyo Olympics, the couple had plenty to take care of! When Simone pulled out of the team final to focus on her sanity, Texas security wrote her a lengthy tribute, where he showed support for her decision. “You have always been my baby champion,” he wrote. When Simone won the bronze medal in the team all-around final, Jonathan also celebrated his sweetheart. “Words cannot explain how proud I am of you right now,” he said after the victory. After Simone got home, she quickly visited her stepdad at training camp and posted a cute photo of herself posing with Jonathan in his uniform.
