Sean Manaea made it all the way to inning with a perfect game, and Matt Chapman had a three-run homerun over Blake Snell to lead the Oakland Athletics to a 10-4 victory over the San Padres. Diego, Wednesday.

Manaea (8-6) kept the Padres hitters in check until he walked away to his former teammate Jurickson Profar after a sixth out. Alternate hitter, Eric Hosmer then put the ball in a safe place to end the left-hander’s scoring or hitting attempt.

“I had a lot of confidence in my throws today. I always go to the mound with the mentality of not giving the hitters anything, helping the guys win, ”said Manaea.

His opposite Blake Snell (4-4) had another difficult outing for San Diego. He conceded seven earned runs in just four innings at the mound.

Snell ran into trouble early in the game, allowing walks to three batters in the first inning alone. He then conceded Chapman the three-point bomb that made it 4-0 for Oakland.

MIL: Adrian Houser (7-5) shut out the Pirates for seven innings.
PIT: Rodolfo Castro hit two home runs and produced three runs.

Braves 1 – Mets 2

ATL: Max Fried (7-7) limited the Mets to two runs and struck out nine batters in seven innings.
NYM: Tylor Megill defeated Fried with a run allowed in five and a third innings. Trevor May (4-2) inherited the victory.
