FC Schalke is pushing ahead with the plans for the restart in league two. According to information from ‘Sky’, Royal Blue is about to sign center forward Marvin Pieringer. The 21-year-old is currently under contract with SC Freiburg until 2022.
Pieringer was used for the regional league team in Breisgau and scored twelve goals in 14 games in the first half of the season. At the beginning of the year, the right-footed player switched to the Würzburger Kickers on loan.
Two leagues higher, Pieringer scored six goals in 20 games and presented two goals. But even the team’s second best scorer could no longer prevent relegation to the third division. Karlsruher SC has recently already signaled interest in Pieringer – league rivals Schalke have apparently won the contract.
