This past weekend the Regional School-age Badminton Championship. The competition lasted two days in which the men’s and women’s singles and doubles were disputed, in addition to the mixed doubles. And three Churriegos were in charge of representing Miguelturra in this tournament.
A) Yes, Naim García-Abadillo competed in the sub-15 category; while Angel Serrano He did it in men’s U-17 and Adriana gonzalez in female U-17. This has been reported by the Department of Sports of Miguelturra on their social networks.
In this way, Naim finished the competition in ninth position from Castilla-La Mancha in individual category; while in men’s doubles he was fifth together to his partner David Romero. For its part, Angel had no luck in the individual category, while in mixed doubles and with Adriana they finished the competition as classified quarters. For its part, Adriana managed to be sixth in Castilla-La Mancha in individual category.
A championship that was played at first in a league format to later carry out direct eliminations. To the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Teams the first 2 individual classifieds, male and female, from the U-15 and U-17 Regional Championships will attend; and 4 more participants (2 male and 2 female) designated by the Castilla La Mancha Badminton Federation for each category.
So that, a great result for young athletes from Churriegos who continue to prove their worth every weekend in the different championships that are held.
