4 more French people, including Juhann Begarin and Yoan Makoundou, present themselves for the NBA draft

Jonathan Givony of Draft Express announces that 4 more French people have decided to run for the NBA draft. First there is the confirmation regarding Yoan Makoundou (Cholet), but also the back of Paris Basket Juhann begarin (18 years old, 1m96), the back of Saint-Quentin Hugo Besson (20 years old, 1m91) and the Le Mans Swingman Kenny Baptiste (20 years old, 2m01).

Juhann Begarin is the most likely to be drafted even though his odds have fallen quite a bit this season. It was announced a few months ago in the Top 15, but mock drafts are now seeing it in the second round. In Pro B this season he turns 11.4 points at 45.1% including 35.3% at 3-pts, 3.6 rebounds and 3 assists. To get to know him better, see the video of the 6th Man below.

For the other 3, they can hope for an invitation to the Chicago Draft Combine to try to show off. Yoan Makoundou, one of the revelations of the season, is perhaps the one who could create the surprise and be called in a few weeks.

On loan from Élan Chalon to Saint-Quentin, Besson had a magnificent season in Pro B with 19.4 points at 48.3% dot 36.8% away, 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He was aiming for the 2022 draft, but given his magnificent season, it’s worth testing his odds.

As for Baptiste, he made a place for himself in the Le Mans rotation and turned 5.8 points at 55.2% including 34.6% at 3-pts, and 2.6 rebounds.
