The only WTA tournament of the week, the Strasbourg International have a nice cast and enticing programs every day. This Tuesday was no exception since Bianca Andreescu was on the court. Unsurprisingly, the Canadian swept her opponent in two sets 6-1, 6-4. The surprise actually came after her victory, the Candienne preferred to withdraw from the tournament after feeling an abdominal discomfort. First on the track, Diane Parry has meanwhile been eliminated. Harmony Tan had a big performance against Alison Van Uytvanck, she won 6-4 6-4. Alizé Cornet had to forfeit after trailing 7-6 (2) 3-0 against Magda Linette.

Andreescu wins calmly, then withdraws
Come to Alsace to continue the matches and be reassured before Roland-Garros, Bianca Andreescu got off to a smooth start against Andrea Lazaro Garcia, 279th world, 6-1, 6-2. The Spaniard was only able to grab three games. No longer reviewed since Miami, the 7th in the world had a sufficient margin to slip away in the 2nd round, where a new qualifier easily had, the Belgian Maria Zanevska, 6-1, 6-4. But embarrassed in the abdominals, she preferred not to force before Roland-Garros. She forfeited the rest of the tournament: “In the past, I have endured a lot of injuries and made them worse, so I want to learn from those mistakes …“
Bianca Andreescu withdraws for medical reasons.

Alsace is over, direction Paris for Parry, Tan offers himself Van Uytvanck, Cornet gives up
Two Frenchies were playing their first round. Exit of the qualifiers, the Parisian and player of Boulogne-Billancourt Diane Parry was the first on the track and was beaten by the German Jule Niemeier, 6-4, 6-3. It was a good opportunity to scratch at least one more victory before heading off to Roland-Garros but the young player will still have a week to prepare.

Guest, Harmony Tan had a very good game against the Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck. A 6-4, 6-4 victory which confirms the good form of the protégé of Nathalie Tauziat since a few weeks. Meeting with Arantxa Rus in the second round on Wednesday. A good test for the Frenchie. Led 7-6 (2) 3-0 after 1h20 of play against seeded n ° 8 Magda Linette, Alizé Cornet preferred to give up for medical reasons. The Frenchwoman spoke: “I’m not the type of person to stop if it hurts a little bit, it was painful. I got scared a week away from Roland. When I heard that crack in my hip, I knew it wasn’t good …“
