TuS Graf Kobbo Tecklenburg Expands Sports Offer with Cycling and Table Tennis

TuS Graf Kobbo Tecklenburg is expanding its club offerings to include road cycling, table tennis, and badminton, bringing new movement and encounters to local club sports, the Westfälische Nachrichten reported. The club stated that the additions are designed to give members more opportunities to stay active together.

Hilly Terrain Shapes New Cycling Program

“The hilly landscape around Tecklenburg is made for varied road cycling tours and is the perfect addition to our mountain bike offering,” said Klaus Bienemann.

Leadership of the new road cycling department falls to Beate Spahn. Her own background in the sport traces back to 2009 through spinning, which led to competitive appearances in events such as the Vattenfall Cyclassics in Hamburg and the Münsterland Giro. Spahn and her fellow participants plan to begin riding together this November.

Club Plans Saturday Road Rides for Winter Season

The road cycling group has scheduled its first outdoor ride for Saturday, November 7. Meeting points and logistical details will be coordinated through a dedicated WhatsApp messaging group.

Seasonal adjustments govern the weekly calendar for the cyclists. During the winter months, outings are scheduled for Saturdays. In the summer, rides shift to Wednesdays, while Saturdays remain open for longer excursions by mutual agreement. Participants determine exact times and meeting locations together.

Table Tennis and Badminton Launch at Graf-Adolf-Gymnasium

The newly formed table tennis and badminton group will hold its first official session on Thursday, November 26, running from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM local time at the gymnasium of the Graf-Adolf-Gymnasium.

Florian Tschinkel serves as the primary contact and leader for both indoor sports. The sessions are designed for both children and adults, combining physical movement with coordination skills.

Additional Club Information

The club directs members and interested participants to the official TuS Graf Kobbo Tecklenburg website for ongoing schedules and registration details.
