Ticket Prices Drop Below Beer Costs at SoFi Stadium Amid Historic Slump
The Los Angeles Chargers are selling tickets to their upcoming home game against the Houston Texans for as low as $13 on secondary marketplaces—cheaper than a standard 16-ounce beer at the venue, bild.de reported. That pricing reflects a historically poor start for a franchise that entered the NFL season as a projected playoff contender under head coach Jim Harbaugh.
Los Angeles sits winless through seven games, marking the franchise’s worst opening stretch since the 2000 season, when Harbaugh played quarterback for the team. The Chargers hold a 0-7 record and stand as the only winless team remaining in the league, becoming the first team in NFL history to open a season with seven consecutive losses immediately following a campaign with 11 or more victories.
Owners Maintain Support Despite Falling Attendance Figures
The team’s last home victory at the 5.5 billion-dollar SoFi Stadium in Inglewood occurred on December 8, 2025, when the Chargers defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 22-19 in overtime. Since then, mounting losses have sapped local demand in the Southern California market.
Despite the on-field struggles, owner Dean Spanos and general manager Joe Hortiz have maintained support for Harbaugh. Attendance figures show the Chargers averaging 70,466 fans across their three home games so far, placing them 13th in the league’s attendance rankings. By comparison, the Dallas Cowboys lead the league with an average of 87,274 fans, while the Jacksonville Jaguars record the lowest average at 53,828.
Ticket Prices Fall as Beer Costs Remain High
The stark drop in admission costs reflects weak demand for the upcoming game. A standard 16-ounce beer inside the venue costs $14.48. Across the league, only the Las Vegas Raiders at $15.50 and the Washington Commanders at $17.05 charge more for a standard draft beer.
The cheapest get-in price for upper-deck seats in Block 504 for the upcoming matchup against the 2-5 Houston Texans dropped to $13 on TickPick. For comparison, the lowest-priced tickets for the Los Angeles Rams’ game against the Green Bay Packers at the same stadium start at $270.
