Telimar seeks first Serie A1 victory against Chiavari Nuoto
Telimar enters the sixth round of the Serie A1 championship seeking its first points of the season as it travels to face Chiavari Nuoto.
The match is scheduled to take place at the Ravera pool tomorrow afternoon. Kickoff is set for 17:30 local time, with Guarracino and Iacovelli assigned as the officiating duo. Chiavari Nuoto will provide a live stream of the encounter via the club’s official social media channels.
Telimar faces pressure following home defeat
The upcoming away fixture follows a significant home loss for Telimar against Vis Nova. That defeat, which featured former players Massaro and Muscat, has impacted the team’s momentum.
Despite a heavy investment during the summer transfer window that brought eight new players to Palermo, the team has struggled to find consistency. Analysis of the team’s recent performances indicates frequent errors in both finishing and final passing. There is also a noted absence of veteran leadership on the field, as defender Giorgio La Rosa has yet to be utilized in a match this season.
Chiavari Nuoto relies on veteran experience
To secure a win, Telimar must overcome a Chiavari Nuoto roster characterized by significant top-flight experience. The Ligurian side features several players with years of service in the highest category of Italian water polo.
Key threats for the home side include Pietro Figlioli, described as a prolific scorer, and Federico Panerai, a left-handed player noted for his technical ability. The presence of these established players presents a tactical challenge for a Telimar side looking to reverse its current trend.
