Stephen Curry secured a 126-119 overtime victory for the Golden State Warriors against the Orlando Magic with 41 points, prompting head coach Steve Kerr to praise an impossible late-game shot.

Curry delivered a 41-point performance to lead the Warriors past the Magic 126-119 in overtime, SPOX reported. With 25 seconds remaining in regulation, the 38-year-old guard converted a high-degree-of-difficulty shot that mixed a floater with a hook shot over the backboard to give his team the lead.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr highlighted the decisive play after the final buzzer. “That was an impossible shot,” Kerr said.

Kerr added further praise for his veteran playmaker’s unique skill set. “He is unique,” Kerr said. “I don’t know if anyone else in the world can make that shot.”

Passing LeBron James in milestone ranking

Curry’s 41-point night marked his 16th career regular-season game with at least 40 points since turning 35 years old. That output pushed him past LeBron James in a notable league scoring milestone.

James recorded 15 games with 40 or more points after reaching his 35th birthday. Former Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan sits third on that list with 12 such games.

Reflecting on the milestone and his longevity, Curry pointed to the physical toll and preparation required. “It makes me incredibly proud when I think about how much work goes into it – especially after some injuries,” Curry said.

Next game schedule

The Warriors continue their schedule following the overtime victory against Orlando, returning to regular-season action as the Western Conference playoff race progresses.
